Samui Elephant Sanctuary is proud to be the first ethical elephant sanctuary established on Koh Samui in southern Thailand, offering a safe, compassionate home for rescued elephants.

 

Thanks to the generous support of our guests, we have since opened a second sanctuary on the island, allowing even more elephants to enjoy a life of ease, dignity, and freedom. Both sanctuaries are set on beautiful forested land and provide a true haven for elephants who once endured long, exhausting years working in the logging and tourism industries.

 

Here, elephants are free to just be elephants. Guests are invited to feed the elephants, walk with them, and quietly observe as they roam, socialise, swim, play in the mud, and enjoy the peaceful life that they deserve.
